yeah, my psychiatrist was quickly willing to write the script for campral after I asked for NAL, but then the family doc my mom sees would not do NAL, I say anti-craving because those docs who do not know of sinclair will give it out for craving, then we can use it for TSM. Why is it that campral is prescribed at the drop of a hat but NAL is hard to get? Is their a lot more money in campral?, I know it is a lot more expensive. My psychiatrist quickly responded "Oh yeah, Naltrexone is used for opiates such as heroin" The **** is FDA approved for alcohol! Well, thank god for mail order.

You'll get it tomorrow or the next day. If you're really in a hurry, your local post office usually has it the afternoon before it's delivered to your house.

Nal has been kind a of standard "anti-craving" drug to treat alcoholism, so I'm surprised your dr. would not prescribe it for you. My psychiatrist prescribed it for me before I even heard of TSM. Then when I printed out the TSM studies, she was willing to presribe it that way. TSM hasn't worked for me, but it has for many people here. My dr. also says it has worked for a number of her patients. The key is to find an open-minded physician, and that may take a bit of searching. While you can obviously order nal online, it's much cheaper with insurance. (Although insurance is a subject that's a whole other ball of wax on this board...) I pay $15 co-pay for nal. In any case, I wish you the best with TSM. The key is to be patient. It takes most people here more than 3 months to see results, although some have had a textbook "cure."
