Okay, so I've done all this reading and I have a pretty simple question but I might be guilty of over-analyzing.

I understand this golden rule, that the pill must be taken an hour before any drinking takes place. Does this include:

-sips of alcohol
-food which contains alcohol

?

Maybe this is a stupid question - but my reason for asking is:
I enjoy rum cake and as a religious person I want to be able to take Holy Communion.
Would even these small amounts need the pill?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Pyrata,

I'm guessing it does not matter, unless that communion wine pulls your trigger.

pyrata, my opinion would be to concentrate on the overall amount of AL you consume in a day and let the amount in cake or a sip of wine go, just my opinion.

I agree with Wort and Corkit. I wouldn't take naltrexone because of a sip of wine or a piece of rum cake.

I agree - sips of alcohol only count if the are going to lead to more sips of alcohol. Same with al in food, but if you're anything like me, as long as the wine bottle is opened anyway . . .
