Week 10 - Roxy continues her progress. another 3 AF day week, with one 1.5 drink day as well. According to her, the booze is starting to taste bad, and the feeling is not that great most of the time. She would like to be able to cut down on the number of drinks on her drinking days and is a little frustrated about that. She has told me that for the first time in her adult life she does not feel completely overpowered by alcohol.

It's wonderful to hear that your wife continues to make such great progress, and that you're so supportive. I this trend continues until you're both completely satisfied with the results - sounds like you've almost there! 8-)

Not much too new this week. 3 AF days, one binge day, one low AF day. Frustrated with binge days and lack of control over quantity when drinking. Significantly better than pre TSM with incremental progress during treatment.

Good morning. Week 12 was good with 3 AF days in which there were little or no cravings. My drinking days were not so good with lots of units, high cravings, and blackouts. Certain triggers continue to "drive me to drinking". Even though my numbers aren't great in certain areas, I firmly believe that I have the ability to not drink if I so choose. I really hope that I can drink less on my drinking days. so far, this has not really happened.

Good week, "C" word keeps popping up. 5 AF days. Per session still a bit high but controlled better.

Spouse here. Ok, this was actually week 14, not last. Good AF week again. Drinking sessions were so-so with one unpleasant 10+ unit night. Good news is that these aren't extending to the next day anymore.

Wife reports still doing fine and taking Nal every time she drinks. AF days down, units up, avg. units per session down. She said she just wanted to drink and still feels that the obsession is gone. No significantly bad sessions. Frankly, I (husband) was hoping for a more linear decline in units at this point, but qualitative progress is still trending in the right direction. There have been some difficult discussions regarding AL which is a bummer, but communication is better than in the past. Trying to just let it happen is somewhat difficult for this spouse, but there is really no choice. :) All in all things are ok, which is a hell of a lot better than pre TSM report would ever be.

Better week, back to 3 AF days and cravings down. I don't write here often but here goes: A brief summary of where I am right now and where I was prior to TSM: I started this program drinking at least one bottle of wine per day with 0 AF days per week. Cravings were unmanageable and I used to hide booze and sneak drinks during the day routinely. I was forced to go to detox, rehab, AA and other "abstinence" programs by my family. I was put on Antabuse but drank through it anyway, when I couldn't sneak it out of my mouth. Everything was falling apart, but I refused to quit drinking and told my husband that I would choose alcohol over him and my family. Since he is a researcher by trade, scientific by nature, and wanted to help me, he found TSM and something clicked with him. I have taken my pill every time I drank during this program even if I have sneaked a few here and there. Now I have about 3 AF days per week on average, my drinks per day are down from 6 to about 3 1/2 on a weekly basis. My cravings are different in nature, and are mainly habit type cravings rather than gut wrenching need. I feel that I am close to declaring myself cured, but I still drink too much when I drink and there are still a few "issues" that pop up regarding alcohol. Yes, I would like to see the dramatic drop on my charts, but there is more to my progress than the numbers show. I hope any newcomer (yuk, an AA word) will get something out of my progress charts and my husband's contributions to this forum. Thank you all for posting as my hubby prints encouraging posts for me to read at breakfast. Have a great day everyone.
