Welcome!

Your progression and habit are similar to mine. My first several times of drinking on naltrexone were also the same -- I only had a few and my obsession with the next glass went away immediately. I got buzzed but it was definitely different. Yes, this is the classic honeymoon and true extinction takes several months. For almost all of us, the honeymoon goes away after the body gets acclimated to the naltrexone and your enthusiasm for drinking will probably return. This is what we call "the extinction burst" (search it for more info.). However, a few fortunate few here (AJ and Crown come to mind) immediately reduced their consumption on naltrexone and never went back up so it does happen.

The good news is that at your young age we have some good anecdotal evidence that extinction may not take the 6-9 months it has taken some of us who have been boozing for 20 to 40 years or so. It might happen a lot quicker for you.

Keep us posted. As you've seen yourself already, the method works.

My best,

Nick

Your experiences are just like mine and proof positive TSM is working for you. Be patient, it's a long ride, but this will almost certainly work for you.

Lucky! I can tell already yours will be a success story - keep us posted. Happy for you even thru the honeymoon period - an indication this will be your salvation. Cheers & follow the formula!

Your experience is just like mine. You probably will spike but don't worry too much. Others have described the "warm glow" that is missing while drinking on naltrexone. It's missing for me too but I would never even consider drinking without naltrexone.
