Happy- That is awesome progress!!!

I too am finding outside stuff is no longer turning me to the bottle- Yes, I do get angry, I do still get fearful and anxious- but now I tend to think, "How can I make this situation right, or at least better?" instead of automatically heading for the fridge.

You are rocking! 8-)

Good on ya for the progress. I remember getting weepy worrying about some life issues around week 3 & 4. I'm pretty stoic and hate crying so it made me wonder. I assumed the absence of endorphins was making my emotional state a bit raw. Eskapa doesn't address this in the book but it seems to make sense to me. What's not to love about feeling some emotions we have been numbing for so long? As Marby says, the new approach (maybe after an emotional interlude) is to say, "What shall I do about this?"

Onward and upward!

Hey There Happy4Once - thanks for sending me here from MWO. I did not have aggressive feelings last night but was so weepy! I think I need some time and will chart not just craving, but mood swings as well. I did not do diary for first 11 days, but will start today. Best to all - About Time for this to GO AWAY

Hi About Time! I'm so glad you made it, welcome!

Yes, get the diary going. Seems insignificant, but it really helps...especially since Alcohol makes such liars of us, I find it forces me to finally be truthful...and to start noticing all of the little things that are starting to change with this method.
