I've gotten into a daily habit of taking 200mgs of baclofen once at 2pm and I've got my naltrexone if I want to drink. Soon though, when I'm done with my protocol (Feb-Marchish) I'm gonna back off the baclofen to see where I'm at. I'm definitely not looking forward to it though.

But your chart says 0mg ? Or is that Nal?

Both graphs are of drinks consumed. On top are daily totals and on the bottom are weekly totals. I don't graph my med intake, although I do try to be accurate about it.

If I start to plot my raisin bran consumption you people have every right to disown me and pretend that I never existed.

Yeah, I started on baclofen about a week ago and haven't had a drink since, and I'm only on 30mg. Drowsiness; yeah a little, but also feeling very energetic at times. For some reason the baclofen kills this "I'm getting stir crazy, I'm going to relax with a few drinks" mechanism. I just don't get stir crazy. I was up all night last night cleaning guitar fretboards (literally all night), it didn't even occur to me to get a drink, though I was 15 feet away from probably 50 bottles of very good beer. My sleep is definitely improved, I noticed this the first night... I woke up at 9:30 am (I have some nerve damage in my lower back, sleeping is tough) for the first time in a long time. Tomorrow night is some scheduled drinking with an old friend, we'll see how it goes. It looks like the baclofen is an important part of the equation for me too.

It is still sinking in that this all actually works. Really amazing.

I describe it like that : Craving is gone. If Craving is gone, taking alcohol will not bring relief of this symptom - and that way become obsolete.

You will soon need to increase dose to achieve the same results.

Wow, this is really great. I know nothing about Baclofen but it sure seems like it works. Congratulations Evan and everyone else.

So starting on 30 mgs of BAC is the norm? Along w/ 50 mgs NAL? What should I ask my DR about starting me on?

Damn the insurance - I am trying to save my quality of life here. I went out on a movie date w/ my HB (previous heartbreak a couple of years ago) on Saturday...felt like absolute dogshit b/c of the night before. Hated myself and life and everything else...I have been in control, just lost it I guess...enjoyed Avatar and being w/ him, but thinking "what if he knew"...

I've got to get this monkey off my back!!
