misskris76 please explain what you're talking about, what is biotin? Do you take it along with the Nal?

AMAZING! I have been a two bottle a day wine drinker (red mostly) for almost ten years, to the point where i would not want anything else than wine even tho i am an 'alcoholic' (unless of course i was already wasted in which case i'd drink whatever). and although the nal MOST DEFINITELY improved me in SO MANY ways: no embarassing behavior, blackouts, endangering myself and others, more self control, less cravings.......i still got a lil bit of the fuzzies....ONLY wine. HOWEVER!!!! Three weeks ago, I renewed my scrip for topamax (which is how i found this site from my way out), and the combo of that AND the nal is working GREAT!!!!!!!!! I am down to phenom levels like someone flicked a switch! I went off the topamax bc, well, it wasn't working well enough and my hair was falling out, but it did stabilize my moods wonderfully and make me supermodel thin. I actually wanted to go back on it cuz i got fat in the islands and florida over the holidays but my hair falling out? UGGGHHH! Well, i read that BIOTIN supplements in 100000 mg/day keep your hair and nails great along with a B-vitamin sup, so I have been doing that, and in three weeks, I have lost 9 pounds, have been drinking only a few glasses of wine per night with going af like it's not even anything at all, been feeling so so happy and less moody, and it's been so fabulous I can't even express how pleased I am! I also cut my naltrexone dose to 25 mg/day awhile ago bc I felt like it was lingering in my system too long the next day. I am not saying others should do this I am just writing what has worked for me. I know some people have had bad side effects from topamax but for me it works great just. And bringing this back around to wine, I think I hit it with a double whammy, cuz the topa hits the GABBA and the nal extinguishes the craving and voila! AWESOME:)
