Hi all, I have been reading this message board daily for the past few weeks and I am waiting not so very patiently on the postman delivering my naltrexone I ordered online, I just hope it's here this week!
I did see my MD 2 weeks ago and he had not even heard of Naltrexone, he was interested though and in no way discouraging given the fact that I was buying prescription tabs online. I was not looking for an Rx from him but to be honest just felt that it would be best telling him what I was going to take, which eases my mind in some ways.

I have Dr Eskapa's book and have read it through, it's a very interesting read and I plan on following the requirements to hopefully get a chance to lead a life without all the misery that goes with alcohol addiction. It's screwing my life up slowly and surely and I am praying that this method helps me in the way it has helped others on here.

I think what many people including myself want/need is hope! I am encouraged greatly with the successes from other users here but disheartened when others get no result! I will give it my best shot and inform you all of my progress.

Nothing ventured nothing gained, I have relapsed so many times, best intentions, but closest I can relate to alcohol addiction is like being possessed by something that just waits patiently until the right moment then.......BLIP.....back to the start or worse!

Best wishes to all

Ps I drink roughly 2 bottles of 14% red wine a night, here's hoping TSM makes a dent on that :)

Hi scot98, glad you found us. This journey we're on can be rocky at times but before NAL what did we have to try that would give us our lives back? I'm hoping you're in the percent that has great success! Now that you've read the book just make sure you follow the golden rule, take your NAL one hour before drinking.

Keep posting, we'd like to get to know you

Your experience sounds quite familiar. And your plan is sound... nothing ventured nothing gained. I myslf went through about two dozen relapses over a few years before I stumbled on TSM. I didn't think it was going to work, but it did. Even after it worked, I though the cure would be short-lived, but I've been drinking at low to moderate levels for over 4 months now with no effort whatsoever.

Best wishes on your recovery! The hardest thing about this treatment is it takes so long to work and you can't tell if it's working until it finally happens. So be patient and consistent.

Bob

Thanks for the encouragement, the Nal has still not arrived and getting more than a little pi..ed off. Waking every morning around 4 am with major anxiety about the thought of drinking for the next few months on nal and life in general, in some ways I feel like going abstinent again but the outcome always seems to be the same, sadly.

I get so disappointed when I check my post box and the tabs are not there! Just f...ing bills as usual! It almost feels like TSM is not for me  as in fate! I ordered some baclofen a couple of days after the nal and it came from inhousepharmacy from Vanuatu a week ago!. I was trying to cover options and decided I would try TSM solely, I am just hoping they arrive in the next couple of days.

Apologies for the :x

Best to all

Hang in there. TSM has definitely worked for me. When you get the nal, take 25 mg on a full stomach to minimize side effects, like nausea.

Welcome to the board.

Hi got my Nal! at long last, took 25mg after a a couple of bananas to help line the stomach. I did feel a little spaced and nauseous but managed to shove my dinner down and it's kind of strange now as I have so far only drank half to 3/4 of a bottle of wine and that was 2 and a half hours ago...weird really as I thought it was flowing down! The first bottle is usually gone well within the first hour.
Anyway I am well aware it is a long process and patience is needed but just thought I would let you lot know how my first evening on Nal is going.
I will take a drink diary and give updates on how things are going.

Going for 50 mg tomorrow

Best to all
