Getting ready to begin TSM with hubby (go team!). He drinks until he passes out every night and previous attempts to cut back or abstain have never lasted as he feels like he needs the AL to sleep. Anyone out there using a sleeping pill while on Sinclair that they can suggest?
Thanks!

As lena always says, we are not to give medical advise.
I will give you my experience with Baclofen. I take one tab, 20mg at night and it really helps me sleep. There is so much more about Bac so I hope you read and make your choice. I have lovely sleeps with nice dreams.
Good Luck to your husband.

Thanks for the quick response! Hubby asked me to look in to some options and since we will be trying TSM I thought I'd check with this board to find out what you are finding to be a successful combo. So are you doing the Baclofen every night and then adding in the Nal on the nights that you drink? Again, thanks!

I drink every day, and continue to take naltexone. So a do take baclofen most every night. I had in the past used zanax for sleeping but as it is a benzo Dr Eskapa suggests it is incompatible with the program TSM. The use of benzos may possibly negate the success of naltrexone with the TSM.
As I wrote before, there is much info about baclofen, check out LoOp's threads. His use is different than mine.
I also had a prescription for ambien and also some other sleep med, but I personally have had successful sleeps with baclofen. We all are so different chemistries, I hope your kind concern for your husband finds him a nice sleep.

I also have successful sleeps using antihistamine pills. There is another web site MyWayOut.org there are many other discussions there too about alcoholism, you might enjoy reading there too.
