We have a forum for "General discussion of alcoholism and its treatments. Jump on in!" and we have a forum for "Discussion of other treatment methods (AA, Baclofen, Aversion Therapy, etc.)" but we have no forum to discuss TSM...?

I also like to exercise and listen to music and consider it part of my treatment. Which forum would I post in?

If we had a TSM forum then we'd have three general forums and I'd be very confused. Weren't we fine with just the one?

Agreed. I've always felt there are too many forums in this message board. Figuring out were everyone is is about like trying to herd cats.

It would be really nice if the moderators would combine a few of the forums so that it is easier to keep up on the posts.

Easy, easy, admin. The internet is messy. You, and this board, rock.

New guy here, FWIW structure of this board was big, how should I say it without sounding nasty, antogonist for me.

Looks like there is extra layer at least in hierarchy. Ideally, if you ask average joe like me, I want to have single link on which i'd hit refresh button and see new things. I.e. one major forum, let's make it two for weekly progress. I do now look at "view new posts", awesome feature BTW without it this board is way too much work. And even with it and relatively low traffic once I am off vacation that's way too much work even if this is only thing I want to look at.

I do want to thank people who put it together for incredible results and very high signal to noise ratio.

While I am on the subject, 4th place on Google for "sinclair method" is way too low. We need some work done on this. The board is number one resource from what I can tell.

Happy 2010 everyone.

If you guys think something should be deleted or merged with another area, let me know which and why. The topmost forums are really for pretty static information that needs to stay segregated from everything else.

The only real changes that are obvious to me would be to eliminate the "new... introduce yourself" area and merge the "weekly progress" and "tell us your story" (making weekly progress posts a continuation of "the story".

As far as Google rankings go, it's no surprise the Wikipedia article has the top spot. The next listings are for a very aggressive clinic that doubtless spends some bucks on SEO.

I'm not sure how to raise our rankings since our content is really just discussion more than solid information about TSM. If we could get links put into articles and blog entries about TSM that would help a lot.

Makes sense to me. Regarding rankings, first thing that comes to mind is content on entry point just simple stuff like having "sinclair method" all over in headings in titles and text. I might be too naive or too drunk but not to the extent to criticize. This sinclairmethod.com is just spam period. I'll let you know if I have mroe ideas on that.

Even if topics were meticulously selected and arranged, people would still be literally all over the board in where they post and on what subject. From the beginning I have just hit "view active topics" and read the new posts (the ones with yellow flags). Quite simple.

Anyone notice we had a blue moon last night? I suspect that explains a great deal.

Yes, just hit "active topics" and you should have no problem following the latest posts.
