I have had a good response to baclofen. After years of drinking to passing out at night, I am drinking one glass of wine an evening after 7 weeks of titrating up my dose. Baclofen has to be taken at a maintenance level for life.

I have started to take naltrexone one hour prior to the glass of wine. My hope is that I can cure my alcoholism using the Sinclair Method by following a "naltrexone 1 hour prior to drinking one glass of wine = cure". After several months of this, I plan on titrating down my baclofen dose to see if I can just use the naltrexone, thus not having to stay on a maintenance dose of baclofen for life.

I understand that it is the number of drinking sessions preceded by naltrexone that is important, not the amount of alcohol ingested during each drinking session. Lena and LoOP have provided me with that information.

Are you aware of whether or not anyone has attempted this regimen? Does it seem feasible to you?

I'm now on the same regimen/application of Bac and Nal and (wine). I'm am going to keep my Bac level at 30mg and take the Nal 1 hour before I drink. I'm interested in the Dr.'s opinion also.
