Waiting, I agree there is no harm in waiting (LOL) a little bit longer just to make sure the pain meds are completely out of your system. Why give yourself any extra worry?

If you are still panicky, just do as I did on my second time round (For any newbies who might be reading, I aborted the first attempt due to side effects) and take a tiny bit of a tab, upping it slowly every few days until you get to the full tablet. It worked fine for me- the honeymoon came into effect from day 1, it sounds like you too, are sensitive to medication.

Just be patient and take things easy- don't leave the boards because you don't agree with one poster- if the boards become anything other than a place of support and encouragement, then off course that can be rectified, but for now maybe we are better just letting everyone have their say.

You will be fine on the nal if you start at a very low dose :) Trust!

I feel like you are my alter ego! I love you!! LOL - seriously, so much of what you say about yourself and your life is so similar to mine! I am excited you are finally on your way w/ us here and looking forward to seeing what effect NTX has w/ you. Although I've never been an all-day drinker, I sure like the idea of having a Bloody Mary in the late a/m. over a stack of paperwork! To talk myself into housework sometimes, I picture it while sipping a perfect martini - ala Donna Reed or June Cleaver - dusting & vacuuming in my heels and pearls! Only I am not a housewife and am more than a mere martini or frozen entree' away from a nervous breakdown! Silly thoughts indeed -

Seriously, I know we are trying to break these bad habits and our destructive addiction...STILL...it is soooo kind-of Hollywood to picture the Bloody Mary on the desk w/ the work. It's the same w/ me on ocasion when I venture away from the regular evening Chardonnay, the housework, the work work, and want the perfect martini all set-up in that frosty glass...preferably at a mahognay bar. Used to be it would include a cigarette...legs, a great dress and a fine man to complete the picture...I am trying to break down these fantasies and am doing rather well. It's been a couple of months since the martini scene played out on whatever front. I stick close to home and stay with the wine. Pop that bubble!

The last few nights have been good - taking it slow. Keeping records.
Yes, cheers!

Yes, quite a few of us have similar habits, esp. the Chardonnay. Your records houtx, are very useful to me, as you're just a few weeks ahead of me, and they reflect about the same progress - or lack thereof. I think it was Potato (?) who said there wasn't much discernable progress until about week 8. You seem to be following that curve, entering into that week.

Keep us posted!

WTE - well done on starting! So glad it's going well for you so far. Your post made me laugh. I too have often started an evening sipping on champagne and feeling like the cat's whiskers then ended up a few hours later, tear-sodden and necking down my hubbie's beer looking like something the cat dragged in - Oh the glamour of it all!! Take care.
