Thanks Lo0p,

You're right, of course. I've emailed Dr. Roach referencing my appointment and asking if he can prescribe Nal and if he's open to tSM. After this weekend, I'm not sure I can wait 6 weeks even if he is willing and able to help me.

Double thanks to Lo0p!

Thanks for nudging me to take some action to get my Nal and not wait for my 6 week appointment. I looked at the link to a list of Docs who prescribe Suboxone (from the post above in which you quoted lena's post (Thanks lena!)). I emailed one of those Docs (Dr. Rieser (PDoc) in Lexington KY) today asking him if he could help me. He replied that he was familiar with tSM but that I might be better served going to an MD he recommended (Dr. Larry Burns). As luck would have it, Dr. Burns works in a walk-in clinic. So I walked in this afternoon and walked out with a script for 30 50mg Nal with one refill. Dr. Burns is very nice, but I must admit that even though I had a bunch of printed information about tSM and the clinical trials that support it, my faith wavered and I just let him prescribe it as daily use, did not whip out my printouts and did not bring up tSM. However, if tSM works for me, we will definately be having that conversation! I have read Roy Eskapa's book (tCfA) so I'm ready to go!

FYI to anyone interested in trying Dr. Roach (Midway, KY) who is referenced in the first post of this thread, his email reply to me included: "Though I have yet to take care of anyone using this approach, it seems very worthwhile and I will be happy to support you in this process." Whoo!

I believe he has attended lectures by Eskapa and I know he has been in contact with him. Thanks for sharing your experience.
