your post concerns me deeply. At the risk of sounding judgemental, you have major relationship issues to deal with. In my (completely amateur) opinion, I'd rank these at least as high (and possibly a major factor in) as your drinking.

feel free to pm me if you want my thoughts.

Sorry BTH but you just haven't been here that long and maybe don't feel the pain in D2M's post!!!!!! I do feel for drink2much and know that SR did mean well but also came on pretty darn strong! The mistake here, I am thinking is SR thinks D2M is taking Nal. every day and not drinking every day. I also think D2M posted that part in error and actually takes it every day that he drinks with his vitamins so as not to forget and then drinks later on, this should be o.k. When one is doing this and not seeing results it is very hard indeed I speak from experience. My units are down but still dangerous and they are down due to effort not tsm! So that particular post could have been coming in my direction and I would have felt exactly the same way! Just my two cents!

D2M

Let me elaborate on my earlier post
1) Your daily consumption is approximately 8-10 times the safe MAXIMUM level for women. I'm sure you know it, but this is a level that will kill you or irreperably damange your health sooner rather than later.
2) At this level, the withdrawal symptoms are likely to be downright dangerous - going dry for a day and ESPECIALLY for a 2 week period could bring on fatal consequences
3) Your statement that "he is the type of husband who would forbid me and prevent me " does not to me sound very healthy. Are you comfortable with power disparity in your relationship? What are the consequences of you disobeying?
4) "My husband hates alcohol and does not realise how much I drink - he hardly realises I drink at all."
a) why does he hate alcohol?
b) how can your husband not realise you drink a significant amount? He must surely realise that you drink alcohol each day. What about all the empty bottles?
c) are you comfortable keeping such a big secret/hiding your habit from your husband?
d) how would he feel if he knew?

you, like the rest of us on TSM, have a major challenge to face with regard to your drinking. Adding the above problems to the mix is not going to help you IMO.

Hi D2M

we cross posted above, so let me reply to your recent posts.

There are plenty of 6 day (and 7 day) drinkers here - that pretty much describes me. I also am rarely falling over drunk, slurring words or doing such things. I still drink way too much though and need to do something. As do us all here.

I'm not sure how comfortable you are discussing the relationship issues here - I'm not sure it is the most appropriate way to talk about them, but as I said before, I'm happy to engage via private messages instead.

I do think that trying to tackle your Al problem with all the others also in the mix is going to be extra-tough. My guess is that they aren't purely parallel problems either, rather more intertwined

good luck regardless

Hi D2M

Sorry if I came across as judgemental - I was intending more to express my concern

Best of luck in your efforts, and my offer above stands.
