Hi Everyone
thanks for all the support so far for me and my husband. This will be my progress thread. I hope to have good news to post. I am taking 50mg. Barr Labs Naltroxone 30-60 minutes before drinking. I'm still figuring out how to assess cravings, but it seems post-drink mornings are a bit easier already.

Day 1 - 6 units
Day 2 - 4 units
Day 3 - 8 units (ouch)
Day 4 - 3 units

Best
Roxy

Hi Roxy, and welcome - good to hear from you - what a wonderful husband you have - he set you up nicely so that we feel we know you. Don't worry if you experience a bit of a let down after your first few weeks, aka the honeymoon period. Great though to be "feeling" something so soon - means the naltrexone is certainly rollin round yo head!!

Post often and you'll find answers to your questions, and general support for anything you go through on your journey.

We'll hold on to you take heart and keep reading the threads if you have any questions there's a thread or we will try to answer it.

Ok, it's been one week and here is what's happening so far. I guess I am experiencing the honeymoon effect because I had two alcohol free days with no cravings on days 5 and 6. I consumed 26 1/2 units total on the other 5 days. My morning cravings seem to be gone for the time being. I realize that this is probably temporary and that I need to have many Nal/Drink iterations to realize the benefits, but it's still pretty cool. The week before I started was a bad binge week and I probably drank upwards of 50 units.

Week 1
6/4/8/3/AF/AF/5.5

That's great news. I haven't seen anyone who has the honeymoon period who hasn't also had major reductions in cravings and consumption. Congrats.

Roxy you're moving in the right direction and hold tight a little bumpy down the road but the bumps should be expected, as Nick always reminds all of us PATIENCE. I'm happy for you it feels good to have Hope doesn't it?

Hi all. I have been on for two weeks now. My units stayed the same with two AF days again. Cravings are still way down from pre TSM levels.

Week 1: 26.5 units - 2 AF - Craving level avg. per day 2.57/10
Week 2: 27 units - 2 AF - Craving level avg. per day 4.4/10

That's awesome roxy! Do you have any idea what you're pre-TSM average was?

Probably 35-40 U.S. with some big spikes on binge weeks.
