After all the threads recently should the banner be changed? Should the "Cure" be taken off? Any input on what you think it should say would be great. N101CS your input would be very helpful and also whatthefunk.

corkit, Good Point, one I did not notice. Perhaps it ould be changed to "The Quest" or something.

Totally agree, although the artist's heart and art was definitely in the right place.

One point, however, N101CS and our other moderators are busy, as we are, so .......

But we are all on a journey and it continues to unfold. :D

Hi corkit,

I think it would be a good idea to remove 'the cure' from the banner. Perhaps, we could replace it with a less emotive term. Would it be possible to make use of 'naltrexone' [*] or 'pharmacological extinction' or some derivation thereof? Or, 'Hope for Alcoholism'. I think it should be immediately obvious from the banner what TSM is all about. Hence my suggestion of something on the lines of 'Hope for Alcoholism'.

All the best.

V.

[*] One foreseeable problem here is that naltrexone may be replaced by (I think it's called) nalmefene at some point in the future.

I agree in light of recent discussions, but it's hard to know what it should be changed to.

By the way, what is TSM.net? I always come here to thesinclairmethod.com

Hi 8,

You have raised an excellent point! Following the link below hardly takes you to anything remotely-related to The Sinclair Method:

http://www.tsm.net/

All the best.

When I first did the banner I took it from the book "The Cure for Alcoholism" but now I know it's not really what I once thought it would be, oh well. How about "the journey" instead? Please keep the ideas coming so I have better idea in what direction to go. ART I will find out from N101CS when it's good for him I really don't want this to be a burden for him.

8 and Virgil the TSM.net is not to be taken literally, it's just an abbreviation for "the sinclair method" that's on .net not .com.

Ok back to the drawing board but please keep the ideas coming.

What about expanding the TSM.net to the full text -"TheSinclairMethod.net". It's still discreet unless you happen to be familiar with the method, and it better represents what we do here. I too was surprised when I went to tsm.net and saw insurance related stuff. Also how about instead of repeating "the cure" what if the text included "the journey" "the path" etc. as well as the cure? That would represent the different ways we use tsm.

Corkit, your work is very much appreciated! I dabble in graphic art and logo design, and aint it just great when the client changes slogans after the design is complete!

the dot net is a mirror site and not the permanent one. N101CS has used it for when the site is down due to technical difficulties. He hasn't yet changed it back after the last series of challenges from hackers.

I kinda like Firebird's suggestion. I believe the cure should be left in there somehow. I do believe, for me, this could/ should be the cure for alcoholism. If I continue to progress the way I am, don't look at the numbers, I will be cured. I am not drinking in an alcoholics mindset. I still do have the habbit and continue to drink but, normally, at much lower levels and with a different attitude. I don't know if that means cured but I don't feel completely irrational when it comes to alcohol anymore.

But Lena that's thesinclairmethod.net, not tsm.net, which is the impression the header gives.
