Those of you with low sugar tolerance may not want to read this as it may be too sweet for you...but I've decided to begin this week with a positive note. I'm going to Love What Is. Stop and Smell the Roses. Sing a Happy Song. Walk on The Sunny Side of The Street. Put On A Happy Face. Whistle While I Work. I know, gag!
Hi BGH,
When I read the above, my immediate thought was that you must have read Byron Katie's book
Loving What Is. Perhaps not, but your choice of words obviously resulted in my making that connection.
You have raised some very important points. Sorry to bring another book into this, but when you said "The point being that I'm going to take control over the things I can, and leave the rest.", I am reminded of the book
Let Go, Let Miracles Happen by Kathy Cordova. No, I don't work for Amazon! I just read a lot.
With reference to your last paragraph, it
does matter to me how I got where I am. Only by knowing this am I able to re-visit my childhood and work through the trauma that it brought me. I
only speak for myself.
All my best.
