There has been some interest and talk recently about fitness, nutrition and supplements contributing to health and general well being, self esteem and attitude. Personally, I am of the opinion that these can have a
tremendous impact on our lives.
A couple of years ago I made a lifestyle change that transformed me inside and out, and while it took a tremendous amount of effort, the payoff was worth every bit of it. At the end I felt the most amazing I've ever felt in my entire life. I researched fitness and nutrition with as much fervor as I am now researching alcoholism. I'm not trying to be pompous here, but I honestly believe I know more about nutrition than 95% of nutritionists out there. In the following comp shot, I actually only lost 12 pounds. What actually happened is I lost 22 lbs of fat and gained 10 lbs of muscle. Simultaneously losing fat and gaining muscle is something that 95% of nutritionists believe is impossible to do.
Since then I have customized fitness and nutrition plans for many of my friends. They all got amazing results when they were willing to put forth the effort (a biggie).
I'd be happy to do the same for anyone here if you're interested. The best way I can describe it is it is a
very sensible diet, a lot of food (no starving, not even close) but a
lot of exercise. It is
not low carb and it is
not low fat. I understand that people are all different and I can modify the diet according to results. Honestly, the most difficult part about it is learning to have enough fresh food prepared to eat at the proper times of the day.
The results I got, and the results I have personally witnessed are
astounding. This is me, starting on July 29, 2007, and the results of my transformation which took 70 days, that's 2 months and 10 days:

Don't worry ladies, you won't get all muscular and have veins popping out and all that, you simply do not have enough testosterone for that. What happens to women when they follow this protocol is they get lean (lose fat) and get toned and overall more "healthy" looking. Incidentally, I did get plastered on 18 out of 70 of these days, I went to burningman right in the middle taking 7 days off
and I ate whatever the hell I wanted once a week.
edit: And yeah, don't you
dare try to tell me I don't have any willpower...
