Well, this is a surprise as I had just set up a board for those on the Sinclair Method- my reasons were quite selfish as I wanted a place for me to post and communicate with others following the method, or wanting to follow the method, as on the other forum of course people are following all sorts of diverse treatments.

I am a bit sad about my board as I quite liked it, but nevermind, in a way it is a blessing as I have lived with alcohol thoughts for as long as I can remember- how to get it, how to get away to have it, worrying about how much I am having, how to stop having it, that maybe when I finish these three or four (or whatever) months, I may be able to stop thinking about it for a while, whereas if I had a message board going that would not really be an option.

Well here is to our group success!

Hi Marbella,

Thanks for coming over. Yeah, I felt bad when you said you'd started a forum. We were thinking the same thing at the same time. Eskapa and I have been talking about this for a few weeks because the publisher wanted him to do it (or get someone else to). I finally got off my duff and did it.

Glad to see you found your way here.

Here, the format still isn't exactly right. It seems there should be a thread like I started, "Moved from MWO" or as such and there we can each add a post, rhather then add a thread. Right now, it appears that each Thread is as a post. Maybe I am not seeing it right.

Hmmmm, I'm trying to understand what you mean.

So you think the "Introduce Yourself" should be a single thread rather than a forum where each entry is a standalone post?

Hi! This is great. I am happy to be on this site. I didn't care for the times when occasionally we would be talking on the MWO forum about the Sinclair method and someone would post something kinda hostile. I felt this was unneccessry. Anyway. Great site!! I admire the work that went into it. Looking forward to making my way around here. :D

Marbella,

The message you sent out over at MWO creates some confusion.

Suggest you put a redirect on your site to this one.

Hi! Vicmatoria, here.

I, too had worries about our "independent" views/choices/ discussions on MWO. May have been unfounded, but, hopefully this will be a safe and honest and informed forum.

FYI: the username "Vicmatoria" originates from me, as a 2-year-old, trying to pronounce my first and middle names: Victoria Maria... I did't quite get the pronunciation straight and said, "Vicmatoria". LOL!!!

I am THRILLED that Dr. Eskapa and Dr. Sinclair will be popping in, here and there. Thank you, so much N101CS and Marbella, for all of the time and hard work that went into this.

Any advice/ hints as to how to best navigate here are appreciated.

Great to see many familiar "faces"! Hoping to see many nore!

Vic

BTW,

It's not clear which thread to choose when you just want to "talk" and "share" as we've become accustomed to on MWO. Is it possible to start a thread dedicated to "sharing" or some such theme?

Vic,

Sure, we can do that.

If you are following Sinclair, you might start by posting in the "Weekly Progress" thread. The "General" Thread is for chitchat. I'll bounce over to MYO in the AM and get some ideas.

Yes I'll sort that out Q- when I sent the message I had no idea RV had set this up! But it makes far more sense that we are all in one place- I cannot put a redirect on that forum unfortunately- I only sent about 8 PMs and it seems just about everyone is here anyway, so all is well!
