 Post subject: Making some kind of progress; comments?

Actually I'm finding the first thing is my craving is down considerably. My habit is stable though, I just seem to pop that Nal around 4pm for that first 5pm drink. But I am having more & more thoughts throughout the day that I just don't need to have a drink tonight. But I still do. This past weekend a friend gave me a can of beer & since I hadn't taken a Nal yet I said I'd hold it for later. He didn't care. The biggest deal though is the next day feelings. Hangovers are different and really sick feeling. Like I had a some poison last night. I think I am really getting ready for extinction but only time will tell. My numbers look pretty progressive though don't they? Last year at this time I was 10 days away from going to my doctor for outpatient detox. I got valium, nal, campral. Well, I didn't carry on with the other two and if you read my other posts you'll not I took the Nal the way it is prescribed, daily in the morning to prevent craving. As I wrote, I made it till June. Then I started to drink again. Never to the level of 14oz of Jim Beam a day though. That was 16.95 standard drinks a day or per week 118.6440678. Wow, I never calculated that before! I was really bad! It's working. Between the Nal & my personal values I am on my way to what? We'll see...

XaJere you're doing great! You're numbers are going down and it sounds as though you can really tell in the cravings. .. it won't be long for you, I just know it.
