My last post I entitled 18 weeks but I made a mistake it was less than that.
I started 24 April, 2009.
I am 20 weeks now.
I have drunk a bottle of wine a day since I started. I think I will start counting units now.
How do I do that? It sounds so complicated.
I am not cured yet.
What has happened in the last few days is that I have to keep drinking and drinking until I feel an effect.
I feel no effect with the first 3 glasses of wine. That is due to the naltrexone.
I hoping to see some real changes in the next four weeks. Hopefully I'm not going to be one of the one's that naltrexone does not work for.

Hi dolly :)

Counting units should be pretty easy. Here in the UK the total number of units is printed on most cans/bottles, but I am not sure it is that simple in other countries. And I know that US units are counted differently from UK ones (but the comparison is straightforward to work out).

In Dr Eskapa's book I believe there is a section on counting units that made no sense to me in terms of the UK system, but may well be useful for countries that follow the US way of measuring things.

I hope others will help you here - if you are drinking wine by the bottle there are many others here who do the same thing and will be able to tell you the number of units that represents.

As far as increasing the amount you drink to try to feel that 'buzz' you have lost because of Nal, I believe that that's a very positive thing, and a great sign that TSM is working for you :)

Sorry, I haven't explained well, but I hope others will elaborate/correct me.

All the best to you!

I needed to keep it simple too, so I just count drinks instead of units. You're only counting for yourself, so all that matters is that you are consistent.

Thanks Firebird. That's what I'll do just count the number of drinks. Trying to keep things simple.
