One of the benefits of TSM is that you can still drink your way (at a progressively reduced level) through the withdrawals.
Yes, thats what I thought as well and still think so. But seems within the last 3 days he completely lost all cravings and perhaps 'forgot' his physical dependence to it. Until his WD symptoms appeared that is. I realize there may be swings in cravings, so I know that he's not going lose all desire to drink forevermore.

If I might ask, how long has your brother been drinking heavily and do you know how many he was having a week, approximately? We are trying to collect this information to offer guidance on time frames for other members so anything you can come up with would be appreciated.
He's been drinking for about 22 years, dont know how much in units, but pre-TSM it was perhaps a 1/3 of a bottle a day. On weekends more.
I would like him to participate here with you all, but he typically has little interest in online discussions on any topic, even TSM. I send him links to posts and threads from here and he has been encouraged by other peoples experiences and this perhaps gave him hope to push through with TSM. Now it seems he's seeing results.
