So .......Without further ado, .... I'm done , and TSM and NAL has won .
And that's a difficult act to follow in words !.

Although my figures may not look high , NAL always curbed me but it was only in week 27 that craving plummeted right down . The long time was no doubt owing to a good thirty six years drinking . So if anyone approaches or exceeds six months and has scored high on years and/or intake be patient take heart . The end phase was nothing vague but very conspicuous , you
will NOT miss it - I mean drinking without effort to moderate at safe levels ( which are so ridiculously low for any serious pro ! ) - this does not go unnoticed .

I'm not an old man but not in the first flush of youth either and whatever time remains I'm deeply happy that it won't be as the last twenty plus years .
Thankyou Dr Sinclair , thankyou Dr Eskapa so much from the bottom of my heart .
Lest i never forget I poured over my drinking diaries going back to the eighties and what alot of sad wallowing and tedious repettition just one bottom line " Quiet desperation " . retreading the same path really corrodes the soul .
No more drunkalogues now . I'll never forget but the retreads are finally over.

A particular source of joy for me last week was when I saw my liver function test improving . I've had steatosis for years and alternating abstinence with excess hadn't got shot of it but consistantly drinking less ( tsm) has got it on the run, a while longer and hope it'll be in the normal range .
I must say in a dark moment I considered how odd it'd be to be both cured
by tsm and having fatal liver disease , I think the mix of emotions would of been more than I could bear . But fortunately there's good news on both fronts .

Tsm has brought excellent odds to play for the alcoholic , despite that,
I don't think it would be normal or even human to be unreservedly and extensively ecstatic when we know one or two people in every ten will not
suceed with tsm . That must be very painful to discover after the hope and effort . However it is still not so worrying as it has always been until recent history . Personally I wouldn't hesitate to take Balcofen if that were my case .

N101CS - if you're lurking - thanks for this board , I apreciate it so much and on a range of levels from vital support and crucial effort along to great entertainment . Of course all posters made this happen . Cheerleaders , angels, wisecrackers , graphfreaks , and indefatigable buttpains like myself . Thanks a bunch bunch ! :D :D :D .
Because this is where it happens the highs the lows, then finally we get cured and this is where the announcement goes . It feels like a close extension of myself .

A special hug for moderators Nick and Lena .

And another hug for Lena whose posts bought my eye on MWO at the turn of the year .

For the near future I'm watching keenly Soulby and rooting for WTE, Bambeachin, G4M , I know it's been long for you .Calkine and Krazy1 and All tsm friends too .

I'd like to help out now here and locally.

Once again a final boundless thankyou to the doctors . As truly .....

:D TSM RULES ! :D

There's no doubt about it

What a lovely post! Thank you for sharing your news I am delighted for you. Could it be that you are the first one on this side of the Atlantic- we are a small but perfectly formed sub group here. Each time i read a 'cured' post i always like to scroll back through the weekly progress thread so i am reminded of all the ups and downs and it makes the triumph all the more sweet. hopefully i will be not too far behind you.

Elfern!!!

LAISSEZ LES BON TEMPS ROULEZ with Nal!! Everyone before me has said it already but suffice it to say we couldn't be happier for you! But don't be a stranger! This little friend of yours from Mobile, Alabama (French territory originally and home of the original Mardi Gras) would miss "reading" your charming French accent :) for sure.

Again, congratulations on your success. Shout it from the rooftop!! We are ALL so happy for you and especially your health report.

Elfern,
Thank you for that post! It will help keep me going. I am one of those at the six month mark and it can get very discouraging thinking it hasn't happened for me yet, but I see you are a few weeks ahead of me and it just now happened for you. so that gives me hope! Congratulations!!
