Yes, best wishes!

Wow. Week 1. Get ready for a full range of emotions as you go through the next few months. Ultimately, it works whether you want it to or not.

Now being through my second week I'm kind of confused on how on feeling. It's a strange feeling drinking like I use to but having such clarity of thought at the same time which was not the case before. A little queasy stomach the next morning but nothing big. Reading what some of you have said about the taste of the wine or favorite drink you're right it just doesn't taste the same it's as though it went bad or something. I'm noticing some changes in my husband as well I think he's drinking just as much as before but the slur talk is gone and he actually seems sober.

Changing the subject I read the controversy about label brand and generic, Revia or Nal. Now I'm wondering if I should be on Revia because it might work better than Nal. I'm going to have to do some research on this.

Not much to say other than my numbers are down not sure if it's the NAL working or if keeping track of what I drink has something to do with it. I just wish I was 3 months further along. It feels like your life is on hold until you can get to the other side, but I'm moving in the right direction. :)

A lot of us, including me, have found that well before the cure, we are no longer obsessed with alcohol and have a lot more control while we drink and far less drunken, stupid behavior. That will help pass the time before extinction occurs. BTW, we are finding that the cure often does not happen after three months -- this would be the minimum period before extinction occurs. Depending upon many factors, it could take more like six months. I personally believe the longer you have been drinking and the more you have been drinking, the longer extinction takes to occur. However, this theory is not contained in Eskapa's book. And the three to four month cure period in the book is based upon people who "only" drank 35 per week, FYI.

My best,

Nick
