2 weeks on the method, I have followed the rule absolutely so far. 1 AF day due to overindulgence which is somewhat typical. About 70 drinks per week, still developing the habit of counting. I've been using an app called On Track, I can hit the button to add drinks which is easier for me than editing a spreadsheet when I'm trying to have fun.

I think following the program will be very easy for me, I hope it works like it has for so many others.

Congratulations on following the protocol. The first few times are the hardest; you're probably good to go now.

*applause*

Very nice Saltair. Time goes by fast so try and keep good records of your consumption and desire up to date. By leaving a good trail for yourself and others, good chance it will be very rewarding to you in the future. Any different new subjective experiences while drinking on the nal in the first few weeks? How does the alcohol taste? Is their a difference in the buzz? Just follow the Golden rule and let the nal do the work. You can do it. Peace

So far I have noticed several changes.

Drinks have a subtly altered taste. They used to taste really amazing. I can't describe any real difference, but something has changed.
My drinking pattern is more controlled. I haven't done any daytime drinking yet. When I get the urge I give myself permission to drink as much as I want later, after I take my pill. So far the urge passes.
I've had several days where my drinking was close to healthy. Three times I was able to keep it to 4 which is really good.
I haven't smuggled booze with me yet. I used to make sure to bring some to movies or while walking around town, but it hasn't seemed as important.

I'm not really trying to cut down yet. I'm trying to engrain the habit of following the regimen and keeping track. Once I feel like that is second nature I will endeavor to ratchet things down and carve out AF days.

That is awesome.

Don't be in too big a hurry, okay? I can see why you're excited to be drinking less and to maybe have AF days soon, but it's nal + al that cures us. It should happen on its own, without needing to be carved out. That's how we know we're really cured -- we no longer want to drink large amounts and drink every day.

I like seeing you so happy and optimistic. It's nice. :)

Melissa is right on Saltair. But what you are saying is totally normal and you are doing great.

Another week following it completely. One night pretty nuts, went to a floating restaurant and rode a carousel on the boardwalk. Must have had 15 drinks that night, but in general things are ramping down overall. One night 4 drinks, two nights 6.

Total for the week around 67. I'm going to try to keep accurate track and chart things.

I continue to follow the method without fail. Turns out I am not great at keeping track of drinks. I still am drinking a lot, generally 6-12 a day. I have noticed that I haven't had any awful binges lately, and it seems as if my drinking is less urgent.

I'm going to continue following the method, and try to keep track better. Ordered a new batch of pills because I am cautiously optimistic.

Keep the faith in the science Saltair. I have found keeping daily track of drinks is pretty insightful, and has helped me keep some perspective. It may even trim a few drinks off the night looking forward to notching a lower number.
