Ok. So I'm doing this as a record for myself but happy to share. It's actually the first diary I e ever kept !!

Ok so here goes. day 1 -

My Nal arrived at around 1430 as I was on the phone to Jo (C3 ). At . 1500 I ate a sandwich, a glass of water then took 1/2 a pill. I was going to quarter ....not sure why I didn't !!?! .

Anyhow...did the school run...found I was a bit impatient and ratty with my little boy !!?! But apart from that no SE !! . So I had my first ritual can of lager...but like the instructions said I drank it slowly. I noticed I kept thinking of jobs to do so it took me ages anyway !! Usually I would have another can followed by 3 large g&ts . I skipped the can and poured I drink and I am now busy writing this instead of drinking. I will drink it but I think that will probably be it for the night.

Ok so purged another ...had a sip hen thought don't really want it. ...so poured it away

Ha ha ..then changed my mind so lured another....but mDe it small xx

Welcome hope and good luck. Your journey has just begun. You may have heard of the honeymoon period. It happens to a lot of TSM'rs so if after one week your levels go back up don't worry about it and just keep on keepin' on. If you are lucky like I was then you will respond instantly and overnight. It's been 4 months for me and it has completely changed my life. I still think back and wonder if it's even true but it is.

I know what you mean

Some people have side affects with the Naltrexone and difficulty sleeping can be one of them. Headache another. After a few days or a week or two though you should build up tolerance to the side affects.

I love how you are jotting down your experiences!

I hope you do not wake with anxiety tonight. I think I had a couple of times that I did wake up around 3 am, but that was because I was use to drinking myself to sleep (if you know what I mean).

I still get headaches once in a while shortly after I take that nal., but after that first drink it goes away (I do not know why).

I think keeping busy is a good idea, and I find if I drink water in between sips helps me slow down my intake.

You have a long road a head of you before you need to start worrying about little tricks, for right now you need to focus on the feeling and the side effects.

One night just about down, and many more to come!

just keep on taking Nal and following the golden rule. I've had terrific results and I've never take ANY medication in my life. there WILL be a honeymoon period, but the stuff works for most people eventually. I wish you well.zontar
