Hi all- barely able to read, let alone post. Second surgery a success and I am anxious to get off the pain meds and back on nal.

It's been fun catching up. Many new members to welcome. A bizarre lecture from a newbie and a hoot of a dustup on the Soap Opera channel. Otherwise, looks like business as usual. Great mutual support and great progress reports.

Krazy Kris, your post I think distilled all our hopes: You have your family back and they have you back.

WTE -- I hope to pick up where I left off and I'm glad you were able to do that. My drinking is way down; I just don't feel like it. So maybe I get to keep some of my pre-illness progress.

I continue to be just overwhelmed seeing the community we've created together.

Yeah Lena - glad the surgery went well and hope the recovery also goes well (and quickly). Good to hear the drinking is down.

Also - agree with the Bizarre newcomer post comment. Makes me finally understand why some people feel uncomfortable posting ...and reminded me of your call to edit last month. I think I will go back and cut out some of the personal comments in my posts - it's very strange to have editorials pop up from lurkers and should serve as a reminder to us all that we are not alone...and not everyone is as trustworthy as the Kris's & WTE's on our site.

Glad you're on the mend, Lena. I'm amazed at how many have had to go off the nal for awhile b/c of injury/illness issues. It's great to see no one totally gave up, as a result.

WTE, funny I thought the same thing about that post! I don't think this is a new person but someone with an agenda of some sort. Guess I just don't trust enough! Sounded a bit off!

Goodness! Of course it was "Jim." I had a good chuckle about a new member using his debut post to scold us. This board is running itself marvelously well, because so many contribute to the well-being of the community.

BTW, Jim: If you are lurking, feel free to post. We tolerate diverse views by TSM users and I assume you were earnest and sincere about your view. Your post was a bit intense but it did stimulate some good discussion.
