Last time I posted on my thread, was just after my (AF) birthday in Feb! I have not had a drink since that last one in Jan - have no desire to either. It still seems slightly surreal to me that this is the 'norm' for me now. Sometimes I wish I could still have a drink - yes I know I can - but do not want to. STILL carry my Nal with me though - one never knows! Just wanted to update you all on my progress! And for anyone reading this just starting out - you too WILL get to this point!
hugs to you all, Maggie x

Yeah, I think I'm getting close. Time will tell. Kinda funny how alch just doesn't show up on the mental menu anymore, no matter what stress comes along.

Yay, Maggie! Slogging through all those weeks and months and then BOOM! Payoff!

Have not been here in quite a while - STILL AF! STILL do not want AL. STILL slightly bemused by the whole concept. But loving it. I drink so much tea these days instead of AL - I have even seriously thought about having a Guinness but just cannot make myself drink! How the Nal has worked has exceeded my wildest dreams and to anyone just starting out - I never in a million years thought I would get to where I am today. Hang in there and be patient!

HUGS, Maggie x

Fabulous, Maggie!

I find that even when I go out, 3 is the max and mostly it's one or two, then I can't stand the stuff.

Joe, I really am so happy for you. It is an amazing feeling to have that control isn't it?

Hugs, Maggie

Absolutely, Maggie. After having to warp and twist my life around alcohol every day for over 30 years, I feel like someone finally shut off a loudspeaker that had been blaring ceaselessly.
