Hi everyone! I've been addicted to alcohol for 10+ years and have tried out-patient treatments 7 times with no success. In spring 2012 I bought "The Cure For Alcoholism", and after I read it I immediately went to my doctor to get a prescription for Naltrexone. I experienced an effect very quickly, but then for some reason I became lazy with the protocol and I have basically been non compliant since then. And of course the only thing I got out of that approach was spending a lot of money and taking a lot of medicine with no effect - foolish I know.

However, I new it worked initially when I started back in 2012, so in early September this year I decide to give it another serious shot and go "all in" with the protocol. Which meant taking 75 mg NAL an hour and fifteen minutes before drinking and a 25 mg booster every 4/5 hours.

Here are the results so far:

I must say I'm very happy with the results so far. It seems I'm responding very well to the protocol. I decided to add a weekly goal after one month to track the regaining of control.

I hope it keeps working and I will update my progress regularly.

Thanks plantpr0,

It's an overall 68% reduction in alcohol intake within 6 weeks. Very happy indeed. :)

Hi everybody, just a quick update on my progress:

Unfortunately I didn't reach my goal of weekly units this week. I suddenly had a high craving for alcohol this Wednesday , and instead of forcing an AF I just followed the protocol and had my beers. It shows that I'm not fully in control yet, but I'm getting there. Most of the other AF days I have no cravings at all so it's still going great. My goal is to reach a maximum of 14 units a week and I believe that's already within close reach thanks to TSM. :D

Very nice numbers for 9 weeks Martrol. You are definitely a good candidate for TSM. Giving into the desire after following the Golden rule is a sure way to beat them. Trust the science and stay the course.

Hi Martrol

Really interesting to see the TSM working in such a graph, congratulations on your progress. As PlantprO says you are a good candidate. Keep posting for all us who follow.

I did read somewhere that it's useful to record level of craving, I think on a scale of 1-10.
So when we look back we can also see the reduction progress. Anyone seen this before?
