It's still Saturday but I'll start this now.

Drank a bit more last night but didn't lose it or anything - four glasses of wine - still an acceptable level. I've been a little stressed lately (unrelated to this topic) and it was unwind time.

N101CS, you are still very much "in the zone." 4 drinks in a given day is considered normal consumption. You are doing well my friend.

Why is it you are feeling bad about your drinking friday night?

Most of us here, before Sinclair, would have gone for a 10-15+ night if we had a stress week and felt an excuse.

You are only a month+ into this out of 4 months. Don't worry about your consumption at this point and what it means. Just keep practicing the Golden Rule: Nal + Drinking.

Hi all

Getting on fine with the Nal. No side effects - no nausea. Had 10 UK units (5.7 US) on Friday and Saturday night - a reduction already - probably pschological. First full dose today. Still very early in the program but feel well and hopeful. :D

Ashl

ashl,

Expect a reduction the first few days, possibly more, on Nal: The "Honeymoon" phase. Also expect your consumption to increase after this honeymoon period before the real extinction results start to occur.

Q -

I am 3+ months in, not one month. My consumption is down to safe levels, as you noted. But like I said, I'm 13 weeks (or so, who's counting anymore?) in.

I now count days on Nal, rather than drinking days.

Definitely hit the end of the honeymoon phase about friday of last week. My consumption has increased some over last week, but the irrational drive that used to take over and push me to drink until I passed out is just not there or dampened considerably.

I'm still getting really tired after taking Nal and drinking a couple drinks. It's about like taking a sleeping pill.

N101CS, sorry, I did know you were out 3 months. I think I was thinking of SpringerRider when I responded to you.

No worries...

I didn't drink anything last night. I didn't bring my NTX to the office with me so it's a no-drinking night for me tonight, too. I'm still hovering around 15 drinks per week broken into 3-4 sessions. I'd rather get that to drinking no more than 2 in a sitting, even if that means drinking a little very day. No drinking yesterday and today will likely mean the inclination to drink 4-5 tomorrow night. That much to drink puts me out of commission, where 2 would still leave me productive.
