Well Guys, after a week on Naltrexone I must say that the results are nothing short of amazing. I have been able to reduce my intake dramatically and am able to stop after a couple (my relative "couple" for now is 4 drinks :-) of drinks. Even I, the opimisticskeptic that so badly wants to accept the null hypothesis (NAL doesn't work) must admit that this is new me. Before NAL I either would have drank my self to pass-out every night or, would have binged so bad that I had to go AF from being so sick. I still have a fair amount of focus on alcohol and still very much enjoy the relaxing effects, but the results speak for themselves. I must also comment that I feel myself evolving to indifference or outright revulsion because it seems that I now drink for three reasons: 1) Dumb Habit, 2) NAL training, and 3) the relaxation effects. In other words, from a sensation standpoint, the taste and effect are just barely enough to make me pick up a drink. Whereas before, I was raging.

Totally awesome optimisticskeptic! You responded well and with compliance it will be a no brainer. In fact, you may wish to buckle up your seatbelt. There's just no way to prepare yourself with how fast your recovery will come. It almost becomes a joke, that such a severe problem can be eradicated so quickly and easily. My bet, your toxic relationship with alcohol will only be a distant memory soon. Good luck and ty for your post and your future posts. Lets get the word out..... so others can read, learn and apply. Applause!

Just follow the Golden Rule and this will wane. I'm happy for you.

Woot, woot. Congrats on your initial success. BTW, I think optimistic skeptic is an awesome name. I for one need to be weary of becoming overconfident, so having a little skeptism helps to keep things real. I look forward to your continued success. Keek

I'm so happy to see you are having good results too. People just can't believe there is a method out there that is this easy (easy for many of us, but not all, I'll admit). I'm happy for you! Celebrate!
