Hey everyone,

I started TSM on Sept 1, and thus far, I am very pleased with my progress. I still have a long way to go, and the progress isn't perfect (still have occasional binge nights, and consumption was initially down, then up)... But since Christmas, I have had 2 out of 3 AF days. I can't believe how manageable, almost easy, it has been to not drink 2/3 of the time, whereas in the past, maybe 4-5 days a year would have been the norm. Maybe. I know I am not cured, but I also know I can be. That is a really good feeling.

I just have to say a huge thank you to whoever mentioned the Sinclair Method on Reddit in a random thread I came across. I am sure I would have never heard of it otherwise. It is mind boggling to me that something so effective and so needed exists, only a lack of awareness is what keeps people from being helped. It is no panacea, obviously, but for me, it works well.

Anyway, a big thanks to TSM. I just had to share how excited I am for my future.

Hiya. Glad to meet you. :D

What led you to decide to join us at this time? Did you only just find us?

I look in here about once a month for inspiration and information. I'm just too busy to check in here very often. Also, I am finally feeling confidence in the effectiveness of my treatment. I know it is superstitious, but I didn't want to jinx myself by posting any positive results too soon. After 7 weeks of greatly reduced drinking, I felt like I could share and hopefully give confidence and hope to others. It took 4 months of pretty limited progress before I started seeing bigger results. What has helped is for me to try for lots of AF days and realizing I could do it now.

Best of luck to everyone!

Congratz on your success! I also know what you mean about declaring victory too soon.
