So, my first 11 days on NAL are officially over.

Here are my numbers: ( all 12 oz. bottles of 6% beer only):

1,2,4,6,3,6,1,2,2,1,2 or 3 tonight....

All in all, pretty good, I think. I was a person who drank about 1/2 liter of diluted or striaght vodka a night or much more (about 4 or 5 liters non-stop) on binges. Not ever really a beer drinker at all, but I'm finding I can hang with this and it is enough to make me happy, buzzed but not emotional and crazy and sick with guilt the next morning.

I'm very pleased. Wary about the whole honeymoon stage thing, but cautiously optimistic.

Love and good luck to all of you who are in this battle with me!

Welcome....

The beauty of the Nal is that for most people it gives you a very early taste of things to come...we call it the Nal "honeymoon" time...which is very common. But what a blessing! It gives you almost immediately the sense of the freedom that for 80% of those who take Nal...eventually achieve.

Keep on keeping on (KOKO)....

Well, this is interesting:

I have been on NAL for about 15 days now. Drinking like I am trying to test myself. I had 2 or 4 beers a night the first week and a half. But lately, 5 or 7 a night, BUT absolutely no blackouts, no depression, no sadness, no guilt, nothing associated with the "crappy" effects of drinking as it were "before". In fact, I think the only reason I have more is because I am watching TV later in the night, eating a HELL of a lot more and just "managing" to think about how I want 2013 to be...

Has anyone, I'm curious, had the same effect? Sober as hell it seems - just a bit woozy but not really much. Emotionally - JUST FINE! Just hanging out.

Absolutely.

The Nal really helps to put a cap -- the bottle cap -- on things and to pretty much eliminate the "out of control" stage of drinking that most alcoholics experience! It enables you to get a grip. The rest is up to you...and the Nal as it works its magic over time.

Koko!

P.S....please help us out by narrowing your posts into one. Most here are in the "Weekly Progress" section. Then when you come online click on the "View Active Topics"... But if you have a specific question to ask, the best place to post it is in the "General Discussion" area. Thanks...and KOKO!
