First week was pretty good. 4 nights drinking, which is above average....just excited about starting!

Now this week- drank on Tuesday, had 16 units, felt pretty good. Then last night drank a good few pints- 12 units in total. Couldn't drink the last pint, just left it---this never happens. SO 12 units,, good improvement already. drinking again tonight, will update, probably.

Man, I really hope that this method works, because my health has become pretty drastic recently. I actually feel like I might die.

What part of your health is problematic? be careful if it's your liver. I got my blood taken and my liver checked. I would strongly recommend this if you have health issues

Hey Zero- Nine

All the best with TSM and your health! There is lots of great info on this site that can help keep you on track ! I am only a couple of months ahead of you. Week 11 now...and having great results. BUT...if there is anything I have learned...it's that TSM progress is not necessarily linear. MOre of a rollercoaster. :? SO, stay on here..and go the distance...and I am sure we will all be celebrating soon. :P

Hugs
Kiwi.

Thanks for the encouragement guys. I find alcohol affects my nervous system real bad. I'll get real bad pins and needles in my arms and anxiety etc. I am only on week three. I am taking the med religiously but at the minute I can't imagine how this is going to work. I have faith but I really just can't imagine it. Its weird to think that in the background there's an extinction process going on because I genuinely don't feel any different. In fact, if possibly, I think I'm enjoying drinking even more than usual; although I think that's due to the fact that I can now do it guilt free!

:D

Ugh, had so much to drink last night. By far the most since I've started on TSM. Its times like this that I really doubt its efficacy. I really really hope this works--I just wish I could go back to my honeymoon period!

Yeah exactly, why not take it? I am a little more upbeat today. Was out last night again and it got to the point that I poured away my drinks because I couldn't force myself to drink anymore- much like the same as it was when I had the initial honeymoon period. I still drank quite a lot but I'm glad my thirst is reducing.

Hey Zero,

You sound like me early on.

USe the board as you will need it to lean on, and folks like Joe12Pack have been great and supportive from what I read.

Everybody here is very encouraging. Hang in there and chin up. We'll all get through this. I'm coming on 1 year and I can tell you, I'm better, but not close to cured unless you say 6-8 is cured

But honestly, I'm feeling glimmers strongly, and my friend Jerry has had a real breakthrough the past few days...3-4 units a day. (update for Mario)

My Best, Jim

Cheers for the reply. I suspect that it may even be the extinction burst I've heard people speak of.Like, I'm drinking way more than I have ever done in my life, there's a very compulsive nature to it too. I was never a daily drinker, but I am nearly now...5/7 last week whereas before I was 2-3/7. Who knows what's going on, the brain is too complex for simple understanding. TSM is truly a black art.
