Thanks to everyone who replied to my earlier posts. I am now at the end of week three. Progress so far week 1 31 (3AF), Week 2 54 (3AF) and Week 3 62 (2AF). The opioid receptors strike back! Despite my figures going up, which I knew they would (and you all informed me), I still feel really positive about where I am going and the improvement having naltrexone has made on my life. I have still managed to have some AF days each week, have not blacked out from drinking since taking naltrexone, have not done anything humiliating/shameful and feel despite my figures that I have not lost control as long as I have naltrexone on board. I have also began a journey of self discovery and feel this will help me in the long term though I don't know how long the journey will take. I am going overseas with my family shortly for a holiday so I expect my figures will remain high but I am not worried/anxious about what may transpire as I would have pres TSM. On the down side I received a court date to answer drink driving charges (from September). Best to get it over and done with, take the rap and move onward and upward. So all in all , going well, feeling much more positive and taking it a step at a time.

Hi warrenjames - hope you have a good vacation with your family. And been there, done that on the DUI charge!! It's so humiliating an experience but as you say, get it done - it will be the last time.

Your attitude is such a good one: you know this is not going to be a quick fix, and you are simply working the program. Good for you.
