Okay, so my progress is up and down, but the trendline is definately down. Weeks 11-12 are upticks on an otherwise down slope.

Week 1: 71 Units
Week 2: 73 Units
Week 3: 75 Units
Week 4: 71 Units
Week 5: 71 Units
Week 6: 61 Units
Week 7: 61 Units
Week 8: 32 Units (flu for 3 days)
Week 9: 49 Units
Week 10: 44 Units
Week 11: 52 Units
Week 12: 57 units

I'm not living up to my stated goal of taking some AF days, which I think is making it harder for me to maintain my downslope. The good news is, even last Sunday when I went to the Cubs game and started imbibing at noon, I didn't go batshit crazy, though I did drink more than I normally would in a day. I am looking forward to the deep fall off that seems so common in the charts. The problem for me is, I don't know if it's going to happen this week, or 30 weeks from now. I've got some pretty major hardwired drinking patterns in my noggin, so we'll just wait and see.

Matt

Keep up the good work. Too bad the Hawks couldn't pull it out last night. I'm in the NW suburbs.

You are trending in the right direction. It's a little too early to use major willpower. If your numbers don't drop after a few more weeks or so, it's probably time to start using a little willpower.

thanks for the responses, guys. I'm trending lower.

Week 1: 71 Units
Week 2: 73 Units
Week 3: 75 Units
Week 4: 71 Units
Week 5: 71 Units
Week 6: 61 Units
Week 7: 61 Units
Week 8: 32 Units (flu for 3 days)
Week 9: 49 Units
Week 10: 44 Units
Week 11: 52 Units
Week 12: 57 Units
Week 13: 57 Units
Week 14: 52 Units
Week 15: 55 Units
Week 16: 52 Units
Week 17: 52 Units

The grip is loosening still, but no AF days. I'm not totally fired up to drink and it's feeling more and more like a chore instead of an escape. And I hate chores!

I still have some blowout days where I drink more than I should, and those days are disappointing (to say the least).

You may be drinking out of habit now. I'd try some effort to get your numbers down during each session. Mix in water, set goals, etc.

Good luck.

I've gotten this feeling with TSM too. It's a small ray of hope for me!

Yep, it sounds like now might be the time to exercise a tiny bit of willpower to shave a few drinks off here and there. But otherwise a good looking trend!

Hi Matt

You've definitely made progress and once you get an AF day or 2 in there those units will plummet further.
All the best!

Cheers
Sticky :P

This is exactly how I feel about drinking now. Whereas I used to look for an excuse to have a drinking night (like "its dark outside"), I now immediately feel just a little put out that I am going into a drinking situation and have to protect myself with Nal. It's not that I don't enjoy the party/evening out, its more that I simply don't need/crave it. Sometimes I simply decide to go to the party and not drink. And surprisingly, no one really even notices what I'm drinking (ginger ale, water, non-alc beer, etc. This is true liberation without libation.
