Thanks to all for your thoughtful responses. Here's an update for you:

I told my sponsor tonite about my diving into TSM.
He was receptive, he listened, but in the end he left me with a slew of warnings.
He is 15 yrs sober...I understand his concerns.
I handed him the Eskapa book. He'll read it...and will probably give interesting feedback, and perhaps some positive...we'll see.

So here's how it's been going:
Prelude to TSM kickoff on 12/21/2010: 35 days of abstinence.
Before 35 days of abstinence: 70-80 units a week. All day kind of drinking...ugh.
TSM Week 1: 48 units (US)
