Well as you can see I didn't put in the word weekly because I haven't posted my progress for months seeing I didn't see any change happening. BUT, I took the challenge yesterday about having a AF day (the first one in years) and to my utter amazement I did it effortlessly! So now I know that for months I could have done this and it was probably habit keeping me from moving forward. Fear is such an ugly emotion which can freeze you in a place of despair when all along that emotion is telling you a total lie. My husband is not moving forward and this disease is crushing him more and more everyday. I'm hoping he will see a doctor to put him on Baclofen so his body can begin to heal. That's our progress for 6 months in and a lot of hope going forward. I plan on keeping up the AF days as long as I can, we'll see but it's a step in the right direction.

To all my friends wanting to take the plunge to try an AF day and you think you can't read above the words YEARS since I had a AF day! I tried and you can too.

All my best to all of you on our journey

This is GREAT news! Congratulations.

There is definitely a legitimate issue here: namely, it is possible that our cravings have been extinguished under TSM long before we know it. However, we continue to drink "out of habit" and don't even test if we are still craving a drink. I had a similar experience Corkit: one day after five plus months of TSM, I tried an experiment: let's see how long I can go without drinking before I have cravings. It ended up being nearly two weeks and even then I drank in a planned manner. So, if you are several months in and not seeing reduced numbers, it clearly might be a great idea to just say, "I'm not drinking until I feel cravings." You may be very surprised by how long you can go without it. And, if cravings hit, have a drink -- no harm, no foul.
