Hey everyone. I posted a couple times in the intro forum and thought i'd move over here.

As I said in my previous posts I've been a binge drinker for since 16 now I'm approaching 30 and being the life of the party isn't as funny as it used to be. I'm an HFA with a successful career by day and a wicked penchant for getting hammered every weekend.

I started Nal last night and went on a date. This is usually a trigger for me to drink heavily to make myself feel more charming and witty. Instead I kept it to 2 coronas on the date and came home and had one bud.

I posted last night that I didn't feel too bad side effects. That was premature. I couldn't sleep and I felt very anxious all night. Not terrible but not great.

I feel good this morning. It's snowy here in Denver so I had to run on the hamster wheel at the gym. Then I came home and installed a light fixture in my house. All in all one of the most productive saturdays I can remember in a while and it's only 9:00 here. I've read about the honeymoon effect so I label myself cautiously optimistic for now.

My brother's having a party tonight (we're Irish so st patty's can stretch for a couple weekends). I might go or I might stay home and make it an AF day. If I do go be sure I'll have my nal an hour before.

Any tips on cutting the 50mg tabs? I tried last night and it shattered so I had to take the whole thing.

Sleep disturbance is very common and it goes away before too long. I had a few weeks where I was killing people left and right in my dreams but it went away as my body adapted to the nal. I use a really sharp kitchen knife to cut my pill without a problem. A first date has always been a huge trigger for me also. I knew for a fact TSM was working for me when I could go on these dates and have two or three beers -- no more than my date -- and feel fine about it. For years I'd run off and do a shot while they went to the bathroom and that would be on the heels of three doubles before the date even began. This method works. Congratulations.

Hey DD, a pill splitter works great for cutting nals, but I don't have one so I use a thing called the "chopper" which is used for model building. It is basically a razor blade on a handle, like a paper cutter. I think a plain razor blade would work if you are super careful not to cut your finger off!

Hi DD. Well done again. I am beyond the dating stage (only just!!!) - but I can imagine it must be a great temptation to have a few for Dutch courage. Well I am Irish too - that forgives us a lot of our demons!!! I cant believe how good this magic pill is.

Weekend is going well. I used a little better knife on the 50mg tab of nal and it cut much better. Looks like my other knives are crap. I took it at about 2 before my brothers party, but I felt sick and ended up not going to the party or drinking. I hate wasting a half tab like that but oh well, I stayed sober.

I haven't had too bad of cravings but I've noticed in the past before nal that if I could get past Friday night sober I could usually go all weekend. Friday has always been my biggest trigger from HS party days. So, I'm not surprised I made it yesterday without too many problems. Next Friday will be a bigger challenge. See you then.

Keep going DD. Don't be discouraged if the honeymoon wears off and you find yourself drinking more than ever for a while. I'm in Denver too so let me know if you need any support from a local. Also, I bought a blue pill cutter/crusher from Walgreens and it works pretty well, as long as you line the pill up very well along that divider line.

Hey guys. I missed a weekend. Thanks for the support. Things are going well. I haven't missed a nal drunk. Things are still going well. I've been dating a new girl pretty steady and she likes to drink but on nal, I've been quitting at 4-5 drinks when we go out while she gets drunk. Not sure if it's a good relationship but, that's not what this board is for.

I'm a little concerned that I only have a couple of pills left (I cut them in half so that means 4 drinking sessions) and I'm waiting on a new delivery from allday.com. I definitely don't want to drink without them.

Going to get adult now, so please leave if you get offended. I take them with levitra because I like to be a pro in bed. anyone else try this? Let me know if you've noticed side effects. I take the levitra and it gives me a drop in blood pressure (cuz it goes elsewhere) and I don't get my nal from a pharmacy for insurance reasons so I don't know what/if the side effects are.
