Hi Soulby and CM

Maybe on day we will have a TSM meet up and SHARE a bottle of wine. Now wouldnt that be something?lol

Soulby I was on another online quiting site while I was quit and read one members thread talking about TSM; He actually didnt have any success with it as his liver was too far gone but when I relapsed I went back and had a read and googled it and found this place.

Hi Soulby,

Hope things are still going well for you.

I read in your journal about you taking something called SAM-e, what exactly is that. Im generally a fairly upbeat type but after drinking I tend to get down for a few days.

Hi Mario,
SAMe is S-adenosyl-L-methionine-it is an amino acid which occurs in the body any way but depletes with age. its not available over the counter here - it is recommended by Patrick Holford in his book How to quit without feeling S**t. It enhances mood, detoxes liver and works on joints as well.

Hi 1-4
Am in a funny place just now vis TSM. Haven't got back in to counting units properly again. Got badly caught out with re-ordering nal. Miscalculated and ran out so ended up drinking about 3 occasions without taking Nal. It was really wierd- felt guilty! Interesting the first couple of occasions it was easy to be moderate- made no difference but the last time i drank way more than i intended- in fairness it was an all day party- but what was worrying was that i dont have a clear recollection of the very end of the night and i haven't had that experience since i started on Nal so a lesson to be learned if i needed one.I'm disappointed in myself and disappointed in nal as i still cant predict on any one occasion what will happen - i had hoped to be completely under control by now!
Still I shall start this week with counting again.
