Whoo Hoo,

Best week so far this week even though I drank every day since Wednesday.

Wednesday 3 glasses of wine
Thursday 2 glasses of wine
Friday 2 glasses of wine
Saturday 1 half beer and I glass of wine.

This week I put the smallest effort into limiting my intake. Very very small. On Wednesday I ws going to get some beers on the way home from diner out but decided to delay it for and hour and if I wanted one then I could,the craving died as soon as I went home. Thursday night I went to a friends house for a chat and when I got home again the craving was gone. Friday night I just didnt want anymore than two and yesterday even though Sat is the day I let caution go to the wind and I was all alone at home I just couldnt be bothered enough to gather the energy or the want to walk the 100 yds to the shop to get some wine. Finally tsm is giving me back the power to make decisions about how much I drink and this addiction is not leading me around by the nose.

I may spike again, I probaly will but as I said in Joes thread, Im done with the panicking, tsm works end of story.

Ive only just realised that Im in my 17th week not 19th as I thought. Obviously less alcohol is not helping my brain cells.

I'm glad to hear you'll have a fairly reliable source. That seemed like my most stressful week when we had problems with an order. Hubs wasn't terrible concerned but I was. Sounds like you're doing so well!

Nice!!!! I'll try not to panic as well. I really think we're getting there. Sooooo Excited. I sound like a friggin manic depressive I know, but this is something i want so desparately for myself and my family and friends. When I don't drink, I am so much better of a person. and with TSM I already am that person again, even though I'm not cured YET. Keep it up Mario!!!!!!!!!!! We're gonna get there!

Joe, with tsm Im allready that person too even if Im not fully cured either. THATS all I ever wanted and anything else will be a bonus. I went for a meal with hubby last night(these meals out have to stop) and I ordered a pint of lager. I barely had two sips taken and hubbys was half finished he was going to order another but I knew I wasnt going to drink mine so I took the end of his and he had my full pint. Now thats a turn up for the books, there was a time when if he went to the loo I would sneak a slug of his pint while he was gone. In one sense it was a complete waste of a nal but now that I know I will have a regular supply of nal thats another worry off my mind. Its all good and yeah Im excited too.

Fantastic news, Mario! You sound so much improved, and that is incredibly inspirational!

Happy with progress this week. Have had nothing to drink since a half a beer on Monday. Waste of a nal.

Actually I meant to add in the post above that drinking prior to nal was normally, though not always, confined to weekends however that was really a case of white knuckling it durning the week and counting the hours untill Friday. Sometimes I would cave on Monday and on a really bad week I would drink as well on Wednesday. A few months into nal my drinking days were all over the place and I could as easly have found myself drinking on tuesday as much as Saturday. My point really is that now it seems to be edging back towards the weekend again with absolutly no whiteknuckling. The weekends too are a much calmer affair where the most I consume is a bottle of wine on one of the nights or at the very most a bottle on two nights.
