Hi Plantrpr; well last night after 2 AF days I had some red wine. I must say it didn't taste as full bodied and good as I thought this brand used to, not sure if it was just the wine or not. I drank a whole bottle and really never felt anything other than getting tired so I wanted to feel a buzz and drank a bit more than 1/2 of another bottle. OK so I blacked out and don't remember going to bed. I woke up early and felt horribly hung over AGAIN so then I stayed in bed until 1PM. I think the Nal is making the hangovers much worse???  This sucks that I really don't feel the buzz but get a horrendous Nalover....

hang in there Cheeto, it's all part of the process, as frustrating as that can be. your subconscious is learning that not only does AL not give you a buzz any more, you get a horrible hangover. keep it up, it's got a bit of learning to do still :)

Cheeto, how did you feel when you woke up the morning of your 2nd consecutive AF day?

All41, I felt great, happy and was not sweating and getting chilled like I usually do

it sounds like part of your symptoms might be detox. I eventually concluded (after several inconclusive trips to my doc) that my night sweats were a sort of daily detox, my body trying to get rid of the excess alcohol.

You're being good at staying compliant Cheeto, so eventually TSM will reduce your cravings, of that I have no doubt. That will enable you to drink less and allow you to gradually withdrawal, and at that point I bet some, maybe a lot, of your symptoms will clear.

You gotta love what Heavy Fuel said: " I am riding the roller coaster too, Down this week, up next. I am seriously down this week, but may be up next. It's learning to be indifferent to that up and down that is hard." and that is exactly what we all need to do and keeping in mind what a POSITIVE outlook HF had and how many others that have been so successful in TSM by letting the science just work!

You got it Cheeto. Think whatever you want, implement whatever you want. As long as you follow the Golden rule and drink like you normally would, the science will prevail. Give it time.

Start to Week 11 and nothing much new to report, still drinking the same as pre-Nal but never ever forgetting to take my Nal 1 hour before. Funny I have had some dreams where I forgot to take it and freaked out in my dream, lol! We have our Christmas dinner tonight so I am hoping to be on my best behavior and not go overboard with the drinking.
One thing I do find is that I am very tired lately after I have drank the night before and dread having a late night tonight and having to get up early to get over to my sister's in the morning for the present opening. (I have 2 small nephews that like to get up early)
I had a horrible sleep last night and even getting up at 9:30AM this morning was hard to do,ughhh.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas... :D :P :D :P
Nal On!!!!

your dream made me chuckle - abstinence types have drinking dreams & we have not-taking-our-Nal dreams :D

I know what you mean about sleeping - I think I got 3-4 hours' sleep last night, so am desperate for a decent night's sleep tonight as I have an early start tomorrow for a day with family including four kids under the age of eight

merry xmas & Nal On!

Just finishing up Week 11 at 32 Drinks this week so not down at all but mind you it was Christmas time and there is more inbibing for normal folks so that gave me the green light to drink with them all. On Christmas day I went crazy drinking and was violently sick. I have not thrown up for about 3-4 years and it took me 2 AF days after to feel half human again. The 2 AF days following me being so sick I had non-stop major hot flashes where I would wake up in a pool of cold sweat, it was horrible. I was actually a little nervous to drink again last night (1 bottle of wine) hoping I would not have a repeat of the other night but had the craving to drink again, crazy! I must admit the wine didn't taste very good and I think that is a kind of wine I used to like, maybe this is TSM working?
Going to have another AF Day today as I have to leave at about 2:30AM tomorrow for the airport to Mexico, well at least it's for a vacation and not work, lol.
Well nothing else much to report but will be frequently checking in while in Mexico.
Happy New Year to everyone..
Nal On!!!! 8-) 8-) 8-)

Have a great time in Mexico Cheeto. I think you are doing great. No need to do anything but have fun. Keep up the good work of following the Golden rule and let the science work. It is that easy.
