Good job, Firebird! Those numbers are slowly dropping. And you're approaching that time when cravings start to wither. We'll see if yours "falls off a cliff" like mine has or is a smoother decay like Q's and some others.

I don't remember if SpringerRider's reduction was a smooth decay or a plateau with a cliff. I'm curious because he declared success.

Anyway, keep up the good work... you will soon be cured!

Bob

Springer did not like to chart his consumption and kept 'em pretty close to the vest as far as disclosing weekly numbers. I believe he once described the process a roller coaster ride and, after a period of grave doubt, he said it was like a fever broke. He would have been at about five months when he pronounced himself cured. He has said he believes he ultimately may lose interest in alcohol altogether and choose abstinence.

OK, I know my chart is not as "scientific" as some, but it makes me feel like I'm gettin' somewhere, and that's what counts!

I had a good week, as al consumption goes. The 4th was under control - I had the better part of a small bottle of good tequila, just like I planned. Our singer sprained his ankle, our guitar player lost his motorcycle, and my brother found himself in the middle of the lake surrounded by cops (no harm came to anyone!). I enjoyed the fireworks, walked home and went to sleep ;)

Here's to wishing everyone a wonderful Saturday!

Fire

I'm posting a day early because I'm leaving for the mountains of Montana tomorrow, and I know I won't be drinking tonight. Though my weeklies were up this week, this spike was a lot less than in the past. I also accomlished one of my major goals this week: to stop at 6 drinks! I didn't use any effort to do it, i was just done at that number. OK new goal : to just have 5 drinks and be totally satisfied. I find AF nights a lot easier than trying to drink with control, but TSM is helping with than too.

What next week in th mountains will bring I'm not sure. In the past it has been an excuse to drink tequila straight out of the bottle in an unmitigated orgy of alcoholism. Perhaps this time it will be different, we shall see . . .

Cheers all, and talk to you next week.

Sheer poetry: "unmitigated orgy of alcoholism." I love it! Have a great trip.

Hi Firebird, have fun in the mountains!
I like and can visually understand the first chart best,(the blue spikes).
As you know now, I too am a visual person.
Be well, ART :D

I know you won't see this until you get back from Montana, but I'm betting you have a much better experience this year! You go, boy!
