Just feeling a bit down about the whole thing I guess. I had hoped to be making more progress by now. I had my initial rise after I got used to the Nal, with a peak in week 5, then a drop for a couple of weeks - an increase for a couple of weeks when I went away on holiday and then a steady drop from ~100 units per week at week 8 to ~65 units @ week 13. Then 5 weeks up to an including this week where I've climbed back up into 80-85 units pw. And that with 1 AF day each of the last 3 weeks :(

The trend is downwards still, over the 4 months or so I've been doing TSM, but the projections based on the weekly data would suggest I'm still a year away from normal levels :(
The daily data is a bit better, so I guess my new target is Christmas - hopefully I'll be at sensible and sustainable levels by then.

Stay patient, my friend. As I ride through this journey with everyone here, two things are becoming glaringly apparent. First, and most importantly, TSM does work and is not snake oil. I can say definitively that it has done wonders for me, personally, and I now drink virtually "normally." Second, it is becoming more and more glaringly apparent to me that the 3-4 month time frame for the average "cure" rate advertised in the book is wildly off the mark for those of us residing in "the real world." Only a fraction of us here "only drank" 35 per week pre-TSM and most of us have been drinking a LONG, LONG, time. TSM will work for us, I'm confident of it. But three to four months??

To quote my ex-diva girlfriend, "WHATEVA."

Hey 1-4
Glad you checked in. I know it must be really disheartening - its wierd that you could be so accurate in your predictions for me- so hopefully you will be right about yourself. The important thing is your are noticing a change overall. It is absolutely fascinating looking at the variety of experiences on this site. Even Nicks idea about amount and length of drinking get confounded by the likes of helpfulspouses wife- go figure as our american friends say! Just don't loose touch as the only other Oirish TSMer i need to see you around ;) ( By the way i know my ability with figures is crap but i reckon that per head of population we are the highest on the board  )

LOL @ me and my desire for instant success (nearly typed instant sex there   )

A small drop in units last week, which I'm happy enough about. I had a 5 day break out of the country with some friends so plenty of opportunity for fine dining and wining (I did a bit :P ), which was thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable.

Unfortunately my standard Monday evening night out now looks to be no more - so I'm going to have to try and find another regular evening activity (hopefully more than 1) that gets me out of the house and keeps me not drinking.

Latest estimate of completion date (from my daily graph) is early January. Heres hoping!

Not too happy right now. No AF days this week and up to 92 units. I also seem to be thinking more about Al each day than I was before. :(

Yes, I am at week 36 and I think there is "something" finally happening. :?: Not sure what to account it to, but I was losing faith, but I stuck to TSM. I think it does not hurt to at least continue, unless you are unable to afford the med. Good luck, One!

don't know much of what you're going through I'm only on week 7 but maybe it would encourage you to read what those who are cured had to say just before they found themselves coming to end of all this to the cure. It sounded like all of a sudden tsm just got a hold of them when they were thinking it wasn't working for them, sort of what you're feeling now. Please keep going it's just around the corner you can't see it but it's coming.
