IMPROVEMENT. Onwards and upwards! I started to do an informal tally on this site and MWO and it's not close: almost everyone is meeting with some sort of improvement in reducing consumption and cravings. Petty damn good for a pill that NO ONE WILL EVEN TELL US ABOUT! WTE, your numbers are still big but so is your curve! No pun intended! Your amounts are going down consistently. Congrats!

WTE,
I have been trying to follow this long thread. You may not see much change but we sure do. What you must remember is that the method works independent of your mental state and what is happening in life. It is essentially a bio/chemical process. I like to tell people that it works, even if yo don't want it to. Don't know if that is true but it sounds pretty cool.

Congrats. We go back a ways.

Average AF days 6/wk
Average Drinking < 4 drinks/wk

I now count days on Nal, rather than drinking days.

W2E, this is great progress! You're a month or so behind me, and had to take that darned haitus when you got injured - yet your drinking levels are very close to mine! While I do get impatient, I'm still happy to be seeing progress. Now it looks like we might both get to the finish line at nearly the same time!

Thanks SR for reminding us that this has nothing to do with our state of mind. That's especially encouraging for someone like me who is completely out of her mind! :D

The habit and boredom thing is tough nut to crack , maybe the NAL will sort it out slowly but I have a hunch it 'll always take a bit of effort .

Trading in a high unit day for a low unit one is always, always good news .
Getting accustomed to drinking less is really just as valuable as an AF , anyway
you'll have em both with no sweat too (ho, ho ;) .
Have a good week .

Thanks all - and yes, as it's being discussed in another thread, I do think I need to "push" it a bit.

I'm trying hard to pay closer attention to what the carvings actually are, verses the habit issue. The cravings are definantly less on some days.

If I can continue to shake up my routine a bit, it really seems to help. Instead of spending hours on the computer in the mornings writing and later evenings (and drinking), I'm trying to do my work mid-day and more physical activities during the past "habit" times.

Yesterday was better and I'm shooting for the same today - although I have a dinner date tonight. *wink*

Sounds like you are really getting a handle on this. Good on you!

You are doing fantastic!!!! Have a nice evening ;) !!!!

I'm with you. I have to push a little now as well to move to the next phase. I've been a bit stagnant lately. It sounds like you are moving along tho. Sorry I don't have more of an interesting post but am real tired. Just wanted to wish you the best and say hi. Will check in later. Tater :D

WTE - I just wrote a long post and lost it! Sorry - this one is not as good but I am out of time

I think the 4th is a tough holiday for all of us...there is no purpose to that weekend other than partying, so can we just not count that week?

Sorry about the setback but jump over the wall and keep going - you are getting there slowly but surely!
