That's bizarre. Why would someone else care whether you drink or not?

I've heard of people worrying about explaining their abstinence, but I figured it mostly applied in hard-drinking circles where others would feel judged or feel uneasy about their own alcohol consumption. An office party? That's just weird.

No, not an office party. Friend's party. I dont consider them "hard drinking", but i didnt consider myself that either.

You've got nal, don't you?

Fighting the urge for a beer will only make it seem more tantalizing. Just nal and have it and see how disappointing it really is.

Has been an interesting few days.

A few days ago, I was contemplating other ways to be able to relax and cope with my current stress. The most interesting route was that i recall reading an article, years ago about people getting high on hot peppers. I put semi-serious thought into how many peppers that would take and how painful that might be. I didnt go to the store and i didnt remember that i had a bottle of daves insanity in the fridge.

So today I contemplate, what are the specific reasons that make al undesirable? Calories? Yeah, I have been a lot healthier since I gave it up. I think also there is some toxicity there. A destruction or impairment of brain function. Is this toxicity inherent in the desired function of the alcohol, the buzz, or some side effect from other interactions? Could there be a clean buzz, devoid of side effects?

So last night I figured my way most of the way out of the pickle I am in. I was elated, I love kicking ass and getting things done. A little later, I realized I was slightly buzzed (easy to recognize this after having taken nal a few times) and that if I took a nal, Id totally go through opioid withdrawal. So that remains a powerful deterent for my drinking on nal. Drinking without nal remains slightly tempting, but i know the end result, so I dont want to open that can of worms again.

I have more questions than answers.
