Good Morning All - Well, week 2 I ended up slightly down in consumption. Not a lot - but still down. I am happy with any progress at all. I will be going on vacation this next week starting Tuesday and that has me a little worried that I might drink more than usual - Going on Holiday is usually a trigger for me - I will try to be aware of this and listen to my inner voice about what is habit vs craving - hopefully that will help. Maggie I agree that taking the NAL and hour before drinking has become easy for me too - and often I don't drink at the hour mark but 1 1/2 , 2 or more hours later - that is still OK right? Let me know any thoughts on that please - I hope everyone has a good Sunday - I am grateful for this forum and TSM - keep posting! Ready

You are already doing well! Enjoy your holiday, and just try to be mindful about cravings vs. habit.
Best wishes,
Tweed

Hi Ready - yes as far as I know it is fine to wait well over the hour - in fact it seems the longer I wait the less I actually want to drink so that is good. I think I read somewhere that you are fine up to 24 hours after taking it but I would not want to go more than 12 before taking another pill if I was drinking ....

Good luck with the holiday - when are you going ?

Hugs, Maggie x

I agree with Maggie, I've noticed the same thing. The longer I wait to drink the less I crave it when it comes time to drink. Good job on your progress this past week and have a nice vacation!!

Back from vacation - my consumption did go up :| - it was hard to track while i was on holiday - like during dinner/ cocktail hour my wine glass would be half full and our host would be refill it before i even knew - i would try to remember to add these half glasses, but I think my count is off - I know for sure i was up - and had one night where i really over did it - that was a bummer - so I am a little down today - but going to keep it up - and start fresh this week - hope everyone had a good week - Ready

Hi readynow, I know what you mean about being on Vacation and not being able to track your drinks. I gave up tracking when I was in Mexico as they free pour and you really don't know how many ounces are in each drink. I was mixing my drinks a lot too. Now that I am back home I am really trying to keep tracking but it seems like my numbers have stayed the same as Pre-Nal with no drop.
Nal On!

I understand where you are all coming from re not being able to count units when on holiday - except for me it is if I change my drink. I usually only drink Guinness or Murphy's as you all know, but I have been fancying Kahlua - so how would I measure that in units ? I put ice in a glass, add a lot of Kahlua and then top it up with milk - have been fancying it lately but want to be able to count my units still ....

Hugs, Maggie x

Maggie - I agree with you tough to count, I am the same way but with gin. Since starting TSM I have begun measuring it so that I know what an ounce is. It's a lot less than you think, of course!! :) Newlife

Readynow - you haven't posted in such a long time. Are you still here? You and I started about the same time and I was just looking back on how you encouraged me when I joined and wondering how you are. If you see this, let us know. Newlife
