Hi guys

Thanks for the replies.

Curi - in NZ we need to see an alcohol and drug doctor to get a special authority to get nal. My own GP will give me a script but can't issue the special authority. I got 6 months supply from the last authority, which lasted me 10 months with not taking it every day.

EL - to create a graph, go to www.nces.ed.gov/nceskids/createagraph/ Enter your data then upload to www.imageshack.us Resize to 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768.
In left upper corner below message "Uplaod successful" click on image thumbnail. Change to full size. Right click on "embed the image" and copy "Forum" entry.
Paste to TSM website. Delete all but URL and bracketed "IMG.....
Good luck - it took me a couple of tries to get it right.

Another very social week for me and 29 units. Friends for dinner, visiting relatives down country and watching rugby. Also just had a busy 3 days with my younger son competing in a soccer national tournament. They all played so hard and got 2nd place before the championship finals, but lost their first game today. They were so disappointed. So were the parents!
Had friends for dinner last night to watch the rubgy. We were sorry the Welsh lost as my mum is Welsh. Hoping of course that the All Blacks win tonight. Might stick to beer tonight as I have the appointment to get nal tomorrow and don't want to appear hungover!

Have a great week everyone and go the AB's!!

Cheers
Sticky

1- got a new script for nal no problems. The doctor thanked me for telling her about it.
2- The All Blacks won!!

Take care everyone

Sticky, the ABs played magnificently and I think France should be quaking in their boots for the final. France was abysmal against Wales and even though we won by one point I think we deserved to lose.
Congrats on getting a new script without a hassle! It's heartwarming when docs are on our side.

Hi fellow TSMers

Not too bad a week, with 2 nights of only 2 or 3 drinks. As WJ suggested, I will be endeavouring to stay under 20 units a week once the Rugby World Cup is over.
Thank God I got my nal this week. I know I would be struggling to stay sober until the beginning of December if I'd had to wait til the 1 year anniversary of my last special authority for nal.
It's a long weekend in NZ (Labour Day on Mon) so we are off on our first sailing trip for months. Will need to find a pub on an island in the gulf to watch the world cup final.
Have a great weekend everyone!!

Cheers

Hey Sticky,

Congratulations on being in control, having only 2-3 drinks is no small order. How wonderful that you are able to do this. I'm amazed that you've stuck it out for 45+ weeks. And it seems your numbers are really going down. Best wishes to you.

Sticky, good work on stopping at 2-3 drinks! I was having a run of that in the past few months but now it has crept back up to 4-5 :( Can't wait for the rugby finals!!!

Sticky, I imagine the rugby finals might have been a bit boozy ;) But congrats for winning even if in my heart of hearts I think France played better and was kind of screwed over by the referree. Honestly, the ABs played better throughout the whole tournament, so they did deserve to win the tournament...just maybe not that game. It was mostly the lack of even mentioning their opponents in the post-match speeches that seemed tacky to me... :(
But maybe now we can start drinking less ?? ;)

Hi EL,

Yes, the French played really well. But it's been suggested this is the reason there was bad feeling between the two teams after the game ...

huh, interesting. I mean I don't know - rugby is a violent game and stuff happens all the time that is nasty but not intentional. For instance, McCaw's maiming of poor little Parra earlier in the game...
Anyways, I like good sportsmanship so I was disappointed a bit, but it was a fun game to watch nonetheless. Hope you enjoyed the celebrations!
