Tonight we played a show - first show I've played in years ***AF*** :D

It was awesome: I didn't have to worry about making sure I had enough beer to get through the set, and I didn't have to worry about having to pee before the set was over. I didn't even care that alcohol isn't allowed on the stage here in Seattle 'cause I wasn't drinking anyway. I didn't lose any of my cables or my tuner, or leave any of my equipment out behind the club. In short it was a miracle.

After the show I didn't get plastered, or do anything else stupid. The last time I was at this particular club I think I might have gotten thrown out, but I don't remember for sure. Neither does anyone else who was there. This time I thanked everybody for coming out, and drove home.

Just another small victory for tsm.

Congrats Firebird,....Losing cables,...I've probably lost dozens thanks to AL...

Glad to hear your success,...it gives me hope...I say this daily, but I am going to make an effort to go AF today....I haven't been able to...I think to have an activity i.e. studio work to plan on at 10 PM which is when I usually cave.....that might help......

Again congrads,...I'm thinking I'm right behind you...I hope....BEst, Jim

Jim, studio work is one of the biggest areas where I co much better AF. My concentration's better, I stay on task, I don't let alcohol talk me into ideas that are questionable ( thish shong could really ush a shackshafone sholo - shickshteen barsh long). etc.

Alcohol almost took music from me, now I'm taking music back!

Awesome! I know exactly what you're talking about being a former rocker girl in the 80s...lost mikes, cords, where did I put it, I knew I had it, crap. Not to mention going blank on lyrics. Mostly I was fine until after the show, but sure remember those sideways glances from my bandmates who were pissed at me...and me mortified. ahhhhhh, good times through the fog...

Congratulations, FB on your maturity and the cure!

XO

It has been a while since I posted on this thread, but the improvement has been slow and steady. I have been reading a certain amount of pessimism on this board lately, and it made me think: when TSM does work we need to stand up and say it, and not beat around the bush. So I am changing my long-standing sig from "I am at the Helm" to "Cured" It's less ambiguous and at this point absolutely true!

Thanks for that, Firebird. I think a lot of us are in the beginning and middle stages, where either it is hard to see progress, or we see spikes after initial progress and get discouraged. It is great to hear from you to remind is all where we are going, as long as we stay the course.

Thanks!!

YG :D :D :D

Thanks for coming back around FB and updating everyone on your continued progress. I've enjoyed reading your posts. I like the new signature. I've got a couple of ideas for my own when I'm ready.
