Thanks for posting, Mario. It's great to hear about your success and it's also an inspiration to those of us that have recently begun TSM journey. If this works as well for me as I believe and hope it will, I will make it a point of sharing my success here with others as well as trying to get the message out.

Cheers,

Merlot

I was thinking last night about getting the word out to more people. Im not very computer minded. What are the first seaches we made when we first went to the internet for help for our alcoholism. I think for me it was just 'help for problem drinking'. Is there anyway we could post stuff related to tsm as responses to a few of what we think would be origional searches for help so that tsm would show up on the first page for these searches. Bear in mind I dont have a clue how to do this or even if its possible.

Any ideas anyone?

Things continue to chug along nicely. Had a going away party on Friday night, didnt take note of units or anything, I would estimate that I had in the region of 7 glasses of wine which is a huge amount these days but it was over a long period of time and I really enjoyed the night. Its great to go out knowing that I wont make a complete ape of myself or end up blacking out.

I had one glass of beer uesterday evening and Im not going to have any again untill next Saturday when Hub and I go on holls. Im wondering how it will go as its my first holliday in 4 years where I will be drinking. Hub is normally a very moderate drinker but on holls likes to let his hair down abit. He always missed me having a drink with him on holls. I know for a fact that I wont be able to drink every night. These days the thought of a glass of wine after a night where I have three or four glasses disgusts me. Its great to finally be able to have one if I want and not if I want, it doesnt have to be the big deal that it was when I was abstinant.

I was thinking this evening that when I was last drinking on holls I would wake in the morning and search the fridge to see what I could drink. I expect that I will drink more next week but if I went back to that behaviour drinking before lunch I would be sick to the pit of my stomach.

Mario, your reaction to the thought of drinking in the morning looks suspiciously how "normal" people think about a.m. drinks. Have a great vacation.

Mario,
I think your vacation drinking will be very much like your drinking at home. Just relax, enjoy and have the holiday you deserve. You do not get up in the middle of the night to drink now and you don't worry about how much you are drinking anymore. Just be your new...non addicted self. If you think you are drinking too much, slow it down. You can do this now because you are not longer a frenzied drinker. Focus on all the things you are going on vacation for...have an awesome time seeing the sites and enjoying the time off!

On holiday at the minute. Really really happy with the way nal is controlling cravings and units. Well actually there are no cravings. Previously on holls I would be planning and coniving to get away on my own during the day to get a few drinks down my neck. There is none of that and my night time drinking is fine. I used never remember coming home after a night out, now there are no blckouts no strange bruises or bumps and its all very tame and lovely.

So all in all very happy with nal this week.
